MY DARLING

Where do I even start to write about this angel of a man called Neil, there are so many special and amazing times that I have spent with Neil that all I can do is smile with memories. We met each other at Jacksons tavern, Neil was working with my family and I was staying there for a holiday,I met Neil in the morning and was still wearing my pyjamas and he gave me a big smile. Neil always had a big smile and everyone that met Neil knew how honest he was, he could be relied upon to do anything for you. I later found out that Neil thought I was cute that morning he met me, even with the whole morning thing going on and my pyjamas. Neil told my sister Toni that he thought i was cute that is when our life together was to begin, next thing I knew Neil was in Auckland to visit his auntie. But the real reason was to meet me in Auckland so we could get to know each other, which I did not know at the time. I was informed by my family that Neil was in Auckland and I had to show him around.I had the best time of my life we went out dinner at the revolving restaurant at sky tower one night it was really romantic even though we were just friends at that stage I knew something amazing was in the wind for us. The next 3 years Neil and I took all sorts of amazing trips together just the two of us.Those three years were the best years of my life as it confirmed what we both knew that we were meant to be more than just friends.Neil had so many qualities, honesty like no one I have ever meet and I always said to him that even if he was to spend the night with another woman and told me nothing happened I would believe him.I have to say he had my trust and love and always will.Neil also had the quality of never ever letting anyone down he would help you at a blink of a eye lid.Neil never forgot special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, he would always be the one to remind me . I use to be amazed at how much he knew about things in general I always relied on him to be" my little ball of knowledge"which is what I called him all the time. He also had a lot of knowledge in just about all sports which my brother Tom and Neil use to have great discussions about,Neil always had the same debates with his father as they always watched sports together when we stayed at the family farm Neil and I had always planned to stay close to where he was born and raised on the west coast, but more than that we were going to be close to his family as his family were the ultimate in his life and I have to say in my life as well.We spent many a happy weekend there and I can see why he felt that way. I often watched Murray and Denise and thought to my self this is going to be Neil and me.The day Neil asked me to be his wife was the most surreal day in my life.I could not believe that this could happen to me, the most beautiful soul in the world wanted to be with me for life.My time with Neil was cut to short but in that short time we lived a life time. We may not have got married on paper but we were married in every way. Each sunrise and sunset will never be the same until the time comes that we share them together again
